Deep Calm 4-week course @ Seaspace

Thursday 27th November - Thursday 18th December

Sea Space, Watergate Road, Newquay, TR7 3LX
Dive into a unique four-week journey of underwater training and breathwork with guides Sophie Hellyer and Sarah Kelly. Designed to help you move with ease in the water, build resilience, and manage stress more effectively, this course blends technique, physiology, and mindset in a supportive group setting.

Across four Thursday evenings (27 Nov, 4 Dec, 11 Dec, 18 Dec | 7–8 pm), you’ll explore the fundamentals of underwater training and breathwork in a progressive, immersive way. Each session builds on new skills and strategies to help you calm your nervous system, improve swimming efficiency, and increase your tolerance to stress.

Over the four weeks, we’ll focus on:
  • Swim Technique: Underwater Efficiency – Learn how to streamline your stroke, track your progress, and reduce stroke count across the course.
  • CO₂ Tolerance – Practice static breath-holds to gradually increase duration and strengthen your body’s adaptability.
  • Stress Response Management – Train for longer underwater distances, developing confidence and composure.
  • The Hybrid Challenge – A final WOD combining pool and dryland exercises to put everything into practice, measuring progress from week 1 to week 4.
Sessions will blend practical drills with guided breathwork, testing in weeks 1 and 4 to track improvement. Whether you’re looking to enhance your swimming, build resilience, or simply explore the power of your breath, this course will leave you stronger, calmer, and more connected to yourself in and out of the water.
